Robinhood, a favorite among retail traders who have recently been squeezing short sellers, is looking to lease about 60,000 SF for a Manhattan office. It would be the first Big Apple HQ for the company, which currently has offices in the Bay Area; Lake Mary, Florida; Denver and London, according to The Real Deal.
It’s a new market out there: Condé Nast is exploring taking office space in New Jersey and reducing its presence in Manhattan as part of a bid to cut costs. The magazine publisher, a high-profile tenant at One World Trade Center, is looking for roughly 400,000 SF of office space split between Manhattan and the northern New Jersey waterfront, Crain’s reported.
Be Smart: Hotel investment firm AWH Partners has renewed its 8,218-square-foot space at Skyline Developer’s 1040 Avenue of the Americas. The six-year renewal for parts of the sixth floor had an asking rent of $49 per SF, CO noted. [TRD+Crain’s+CO]
