Dig Deeper: The e-commerce giant will occupy the new logistics center, which includes a pair of warehouses spanning approximately 105,538 SF each, with additional parking and loading space. It’s scheduled to open in the second half of 2021.
Heard on the Street: Gary Meese of MeeseRE: “The Southern Brooklyn sub-market is very well positioned in proximity to the Belt Parkway corridor, Van Wyck Expressway and is less than 5 miles from JKF International Airport. The new Amazon distribution centers, which also benefit from being situated in the Flatlands/Fairfield IBZ, add to other recent infill locations leased in Brooklyn as well as over 2 million square feet they control on Staten Island just off of I-278.” [Crain’s+CO]
