Deutsche Bank AG told its U.S. investment bankers to stay at home as the number of Covid-19 cases climbs, Bloomberg reported. With cases surging again and school districts across the U.S. switching to online learning, many employers are electing to keep workers home.
- Deutsche Memo: “Ensuring a safe workplace for our colleagues is our top priority. With cases increasing nationally, we had planned for this scenario and, out of an abundance of caution, we are requiring increased work from home to ensure the safety of our staff.”
- Worth Noting: New York’s tech and finance companies have been scaling back their expectations for ending remote work. Only 15% of office workers are projected to return by the end of this year, which is down from an August estimate of 26%. [Bloomberg]
