Spigot opens for real estate tech funding

Some life in the real estate tech venture scene:

  • Serviced apartment startup Sonder has closed a $170 million Series E round from Fidelity, Westcap Group, and Inovia Capital at a 1.3 billion valuation. The hospitality startup offers apartment style rentals that are managed like a hotel with a concierge available via text. (Forbes)
  • HelloOffice has raised a $20 million Series A round led by Point Ventures. The San Francisco-based office leasing brokerage plans to expand its services into helping clients build out spaces and manage operations (TRD)
  • Home-buying assistant OJO Labs has raised a $62.5 million round of funding led by Wafra. The startup offers a personal assistant to realtors and homebuyers that answers questions about listing information. OJO also announced the acquisition of Movoto, a residential real estate search site boasting nearly 24 million monthly visits. (Crunchbase)
  • Selina, which provides travelers with co-working spaces, hostel-style lodging, and activities, has raised around $60 million in extra funding. This news comes after the company feared it was approaching bankruptcy in mid-March. (Skift)
