Rolex & Audemars Piguet head to Meatpacking

The Meatpacking District will be home to new high-end watchmakers!

Rolex has signed a 3,950-square-foot lease at the base of Midtown Equities’ 29 Ninth Avenue. The corner retail space costs around $2.1 million per year in rent, TRD noted.

Audemars Piguet has signed a 5,171-square-foot lease for the second floor of 56-58 Gansevoort Street. The space includes a 2,543-square-foot terrace, in addition to a 200-square-foot lobby and elevator on the ground-floor. Asking rent on the deal was around $150 per square foot. Owners Aurora Capital Associates and William Gottlieb Real Estate’s are redeveloping the entire block and have already brought on other luxury brands, including Hermès, according to the NYPost.
