Acquisitions 

The Blackstone Group has acquired the Canarsie Plaza at 8925 Avenue D from CIM Group for around $130 million. The 274,000-square-foot shopping center is anchored by BJ’s Wholesale (173,000 square feet). Other prominent tenants include Planet Fitness (15,000 square feet) and PetSmart (14,000 square feet). Financing 

Wayne Kaplan and Larry Morehead have secured a $47.5 million loan from IDB Bank to refinance an assisted living facility at 430 East 80th Street. The 38,100-square-foot property is dedicated to enhanced memory care and includes 70 beds. (CO)

Taconic Investment Partners and Nuveen Real Estate are seeking up to $408 million in financing for their soon-to-be constructed office tower at 2 Hudson Square. (CO)
