CrowdStreet has raised a $12 million Series C round from a group of individual investors and strategic partners. Existing investors Grotech Ventures, Rally Ventures, Seven Peaks Ventures, and Green Visor Capital also participated, bringing the company’s total funding to $25 million to date.
- What they do: CrowdStreet is a crowdfunding platform, which allows individual investors to participate in direct real estate investments. The startup also licenses its investment management software to make the process of raising capital more efficient for sponsors.
- Heard on the Street: Managing Director Ilya Gamer: “Since launching in 2014, CrowdStreet has successfully launched more than 360 deals on the Marketplace and we’ve raised over $865 million in capital for those projects. I expect that we’ll cross the billion dollar mark in early 2020, if not sooner. We have very big goals for next year and are looking to significantly expand our new sponsor partnerships in New York and the tristate area. This round of funding will help us accelerate our growth and I am excited to be a part of the team as we enter this exciting period.”
