Uber is nearing a deal to take 308,000 SF at Silverstein Properties’ 3 World Trade Center. The office lease spans seven floors, and includes an option to expand onto an 8th floor, according to Crain’s.
Be Smart: Asking rents for the space were in the high $80s per SF. The 80-story, 2.5 million SF tower opened last year.
Worth Noting: The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey owns the underlying land, while Silverstein controls the leasehold interest.
Current tenant mix: The media company GroupM occupies 700,000 SF, and just last week law firm Kelley Drye & Warren LLP announced it had signed a 103,000 SF lease.
