Compass acquires Contactually

Compass has acquired startup Contactually for an undisclosed sum. The CRM platform helps residential agents simplify the sales process.

Worth Noting: Contactually raised around $18 million, and was valued at around $30 million in its most recent funding round. The acquisition price was likely higher than the previous valuation, according to TechCrunch.

Be Smart: The fact that Compass has failed to build their own CRM tool portends poorly for the company’s future. It’s very telling that a tech brokerage relied on an acquisition for something so fundamental to its pitch.
