Co-working startup The Riveter raised $15 million in a Series A round led by Alpha Edison, according to TechCrunch. This brings the total money raised to $20.5 million.
Market Reach: The company has 2,000 members throughout Seattle, Bellevue, and Los Angeles. Expansion plans call for new locations in Texas, Colorado, and Portland.
Co-working continues to astound: Unlike The Wing, which exclusively caters to women, The Riveter is “female-focused” (25 percent of their membership is male). It’s surprising VCs think this crowded space needs another co-working startup.
