Amazon’s partnership with WeWork for its ‘Alexa for Business’ has been halted after only two months, according to CNBC. The service was intended to allow WeWork employees to reserve conference rooms or adjust room temperatures by simply talking to the Alexa-powered device.
Worth Noting: Amazon’s internal pilot has been successful. It has seen 53 percent of conference calls begin by instructing the voice assistant, instead of manually typing in the call-in information.
One anonymous Amazon employee… “Alexa for Business is a convenient tool to start meetings, but it’s still mostly limited to basic features, like dimming the room lights.” Still a few years away.
