Startup thought America was done with traditional office space

Startup Post-Office Cowork has announced the closing of its location in Atlanta. This decision ends a three year experiment, which set out to determine if America was ready for a ‘post-office world’.

What they tried to do: The startup attempted to create pop-up offices rented on a per-use basis. Think of it like renting a different office space every day. 

Quotable: “We believed that you could be incredibly efficient and productive by working everywhere, and that going to the office could become a thing of the past.”

A cautionary tale: The startup failed to recognize the challenge of radically altering social behavior. Tech founders must innovate within the confines of reality.
