Landis acquires GoldenKey

Startup shut down after raising $4.5M

Residential real estate startup Landis has acquired GoldenKey’s intellectual property and data. GoldenKey recently went out of business after raising $4.5 million since 2015, according to CrunchBase.

What they did: The startup sought to disrupt how houses are sold. They provided individual services (unbundled) to homeowners and agents. 

Examples… Listing a property, home showing, and transaction coordination are typically all done by one agent for a commission if the house sells. The startup sought to shift the model to empower the seller.
