Rupert Murdoch continues to invest in real estate tech

Rupert Murdoch’s Move Inc. has acquired lead generation startup Opcity for $210 million. With this deal, Murdoch continues to invest heavily in digital real-estate service as he looks to optimize the experience at Realtor.com. The company announced the news via a press release.
What they do: Opcity uses an algorithm to pair agents and mortgage brokers with pre-screened homebuyers. The company’s U.S. client base exceeds 40,000 agents.
Quick exit: The startup was founded three years ago and raised $27 million in funding. Investors included Icon Ventures, Georgian Partners, and LiveOak Venture Partners.
