Warehouse automation startup InVia Robotics has raised $20 million in a series B round led by Point72 Ventures, according to VentureBeat.
What they do: They provide ecommerce distribution hubs with warehouse automation technologies to increase productivity. For example, one of their robots works in collaboration with humans to transfer goods from shelves to dispatch.
Why it matters: With e-commerce being the wave of the future, industrial warehouses are the hottest sector in the market. The key will be to manage these e-commerce centers properly. New technology will continue to decrease operational costs and optimize productivity.
