Startups love traditional advertising on the New York Subway. It’s reached a point where it has almost become a rite of passage. 

Why it matters: Even in the golden age of social media, subway ads are a cost-effective way to grab attention. With frequent subway delays, New Yorkers tend to spend a lot of time in the same subway car.

What does it cost: A four-week ad campaign costs around $375,000, according to Bloomberg. The advertiser has their brand cover half of the inside of around 550 randomly selected subway cars (9 percent of the total fleet). Good deal!
