VC Defy led the round
Startup Agentology raised a $12 million funding round. The round was led by Defy, according to TechCrunch.
How it works: Agents provide buyer and seller leads on houses. The startup then vets them before referring the leads to other brokers. The referring agent will receive 25 percent of the commission on a successful deal.

Takeaway: David is right! Many in the CRE tech community mistakenly go to an extreme and believe that technology is the answer to every problem in the industry. They fail to recognize that the future lies with those who optimize traditional real estate with technology.
