Co-working startup Industrious raised $80 million in a Series C funding round, according to TechCrunch. This brings the total money raised to $142 million.
Differentiated Product: While WeWork was initially built for freelancers and small businesses, Industrious is now focusing on larger companies. The startup is moving away from capital intensive leases for new locations to simply partnering with landlords to provide everything for tenants.
Be Smart: As the company competes with WeWork, it has built an impressive roster of clients. They include: Chipotle, Full Screen, Hyatt, Spotify, Lyft, and Instacart.
